THE HOLLOW - By Agatha Christie
IT'S MURDER AT THE HOLLOW!
Fareham Musial Society return with another dose of murder and intrigue as they present another Agatha Christie classic.
England 1949. An ordinary weekend at The Hollow, home of Sir Henry and Lady Lucy Angkatell, is about to explode into murder. At the centre of the trouble is philandering and arrogant Harley Street physician Dr. Cristow, when his mistress Henrietta, ex-flame Veronica and wife Gerda simultaneously arrive at The Hollow. Also visiting this tangled web are Edward (who is in love with Henrietta) and Midge (who loves Edward). Before long, one of them is dead, and another stands over the body with a smoking gun. Nearly everyone has a motive and all had the opportunity. But is everything quite the way it seems?
“As good a stage whodunit as we have had for some time.” (The Observer) “Ingenious entertainment... There can be nothing but admiration for the impudent skill with which the author directs suspense first this way, then that, and yet contrives to let certainty arrive in due course with an effect of genuine surprise.” (The Times)
