Fareham Musical Society present the classic thriller made famous by ALFRED HITCHCOCK - LIVE ON STAGE

The celebrated masterpiece of suspense from writer Frederick Knott is brought vividly to life in this latest production from the people who brought you “And Then There Were None”, “Murder on the Nile” and “The Hollow”.  Featuring a cast of award-winning actors, the play is directed by long-time Hitchcock fan Marina Voak.

London, 1954.  Tony Wendice devises the perfect plan to murder his wife for her money, and to give himself an unbreakable alibi.  He blackmails an old acquaintance into carrying out the murder, but when not everything goes according to plan, Tony is forced to improvise an ever-changing new solution to stay one step ahead of not only the detective from Scotland Yard but his wife’s former lover too.

This intense and gripping drama is brought to you in the intimate setting of Ferneham Hall’s Octagon Room.  Alfred Hitchcock made his famous film version in 3D, and here in the Octagon the audience will feel the same visceral thrill as moviegoers in the 1950s.  So close, you will be able to see the actors’ every thought.  So near, you will be immersed in the story like never before.  With only limited seating (and you will be on the edge of yours), you are advised to book early.

And in the meantime, if the telephone rings—it might be best not to answer . . .
