T*REXTASY

The Marc Bolan 40th commemorative anniversary tour

Celebrating 25 Years of T*Rextasy!

FERNEHAM HALL, FAREHAM -  SATURDAY 30 SEPTEMBER 7.30pm

T.Rextasy, presented by Sweeney Entertainments, has been performing all over the world for 25 years, a career that ironically out-lives Marc’s very own T.Rex. In 2017, the band returns to venues across the UK to transport audiences back to the 70s for the Marc Bolan 40th commemorative anniversary tour

Marc Bolan, with his band T.Rex, was one of the most flamboyant and charismatic stars of the original glam rock era.  With Bolan's special ingredient of Rock-a-Boogie songs throughout the 1970s including 'Telegram Sam' and 'Jeepster' he was able to obtain what would be yet another Top 20 record in 1976 that has since become one of the most memorable and everlasting signature tunes, 'I Love to Boogie'.

Accepted as the world’s only official live tribute band dedicated to Marc Bolan & T.Rex, and the only band endorsed and approved by Marc Bolan’s family, estate, original ex-members of T.Rex, and Bolan’s catalogue management, T.Rextasy have been described by many as ‘beyond the boundaries of tribute’.  The skilled musicianship of Danielz (Vocals & Lead Guitar), Neil Cross (Rhythm Guitars, Backing Vocals), Rob Butterfield (Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals) and John Skelton (Drums) lets the timeless music and legacy of Marc Bolan and T.Rex live on, performing everything from 20th Century Boy to Children of the Revolution and Telegraph Sam to Hot Love with superb authenticity.

Sweeney Entertainments, co-founded by Julie and Peter Sweeney, has been providing a wide repertoire of top quality touring shows for theatre and corporate events for over fifteen years both in the UK and internationally. Julie said: “T.Rextasy is a rock ‘n’ roll show with a generous mix of the popular hits, a 15 minute acoustic slot, play b-sides and album tracks – this is two hours of amazing completely live glam rock!”

This full-on concert showcases all of the hits and more, with both electric and acoustic performances, faithfully recreating the energy and performance of Marc Bolan and T.Rex. Bringing audiences to their feet across the globe, the whole family will enjoy the experience of being transported back to the 70s to re-live the experience of attending a Marc Bolan concert live.

This rock’n’roll concert is truly about the music - book your T.Rextasy tickets today!

SCOUTS SPECIAL PANTO PERFORMANCE

Cubs 100 & Beavers 30 - The Wildest Birthday Ever comes to Fareham!<image001.png>

Celebrating 100 years of Cub Scouts and 30 years of Beaver Scouts in true theatre style!

<image002.jpg> <image006.jpg>

Cubs100 has been launched by the Scouting movement to celebrate the centenary of the launch of the Cub Scout movement, andnd the 30th Birthday of the Beaver Scouts.

Celebrations are taking place across the country in the lead up to the official birthday of the Cubs, 16th December. This was the day in 1916 when the Wolf Cubs were launched.  2016 is also the 30th birthday of the Beaver Scouts, launched in 1986. And Ferneham Hall in Fareham is holding its own Promise Party during a performance of its traditional family pantomime Sleeping Beauty.

Promise Parties will take place across the UK and each and every Cub will be invited to attend parties organised locally, and remake their Promise. The aim is to end the year with a huge nationwide Promise Party at 19:16 (7:16pm) on 16 December. Beaver Scouts are also being invited to take part as one of their 30 challenges to help celebrate the 6 – 8 year old section of the Scouting movement.

This means that Cubs Scouts and Beaver Scouts watching the 6.00pm performance of Sleeping Beauty (which stars Hear’say’s Noel Sullivan and CBBC’s Kay Purcell) will be able to remake their Promise during the interval of the pantomime at Ferneham Hall, as well as enjoying a slice of the huge birthday cake baked for the occasion.

Many local groups have already booked to attend and the invitation is now going out to all Cub Scout and Beaver Scout groups, as well as past members of any age and indeed anyone in the Scouting and Guiding community to enjoy this fantastic spectacle.

Sleeping Beauty is at Ferneham Hall, Fareham 9 – 31 December.

Tickets for 16th December at 6.00pm are just £14 each.

THE RUBETTES

RUBETTES featuring Alan Williams, John Richardson & Mick Clarke.

‘AN EVENING WITH ‘ U.K. Tour 2016

Ferneham Hall, Fareham Saturday 1 October 7.30pm

Do you have your ticket for the ultimate pop glam band of the 70’s?

If not, then don’t delay any longer as this may be the last chance you’ll ever get to re-live up close and personal the nostalgic experience of one of the few, if not the only, virtually all original 70s chart bands that are fast becoming an endangered species! 70s hit makers The Rubettes featuring Alan Williams, the original vocalist and guitarist John Richardson and Mick Clarke, also both 70s originals on drums and bass guitar respectively, complete this Rubettes line up with Steve Innes Etherington on Keyboards and guitar and will be touring the U.K. for only the second time since they first took the world by storm when their number one hit ‘Sugar Baby Love’ topped the charts selling over 10 million copies. With the ever increasing continuing demise of our 60s and 70s pop heroes, this is a chance not to be missed. Pop history waits for no person and ‘tributes’ aside, there really is nothing like the real thing. The upcoming ‘An Evening With’ Tour visits 20 theatre venues throughout England, Scotland and Wales and promises something entirely different to a usual concert experience.

All the hits, of which there are many, will naturally be featured plus a selection of songs that hold special significance to the band members before and during the success years together with some album tracks that they have never before performed live. All this during a totally new first half acoustic set interspersed  with recollections and often hilarious anecdotes surrounding the early years, including the real reason the ‘caps’ were adopted and what ‘Showaddywaddy’ and another famous American band had to do with the Rubettes’ success, make it the 70s show of 2016 that you won’t want to miss.

As tribute bands are steadily replacing their original counterparts in perpetuating Rock’n’Roll legends, the authenticity of the Rubettes featuring Alan, John and Mick is unique. Most of the original band members who actually played and sang on such 70s hit classics as ‘Sugar Baby Love’, ‘Tonight’, ‘Juke Box Jive’, ‘Baby I know’ and many more are still there in the band which means the songs don’t just sound the same but they are the same. It makes the whole concept of time travelling to the heyday of pop music an imminent possibility.

The Rubettes will be appearing at Ferneham Hall, Fareham on Saturday 1 October at 7.30pm.

Tickets are priced at just £20. Call the Box Office on 01329 231942 or visit www.fernehamhall.co.uk
