Solent Hire

The Solent is Ferneham Hall's largest room, surrounded by a concourse with direct access to the Bar, Catering, Reception, Box Office, Cloakroom and Toilet facilities.

As a single clear span it measures 698 square metres and offers seating for up to 732 theatre style and 250 for dinner dances.

The design characteristics of the Westbrook Red brickwork and the fully sprung dance floor make the Solent a popular venue for large civil wedding ceremonies, receptions, and celebrations.

The permanent stage - equipped with full stage lighting (featuring Martin MAC250 Intelligent Lighting, Star Cloth) and an EV sound system - gives a performance area of 99 square metres. Three dressing rooms and a large Green Room complete the artistes' area.

The Solent is also fully equipped for 35mm film performances.
